Anzac Walk Video
When Anzac Walk was opened by the Governor General of Australia Sir Peter Cosgrove in 2015, it was always the intention of the RSL to publish a video of the whole project from beginning to end. And that is exactly what we did.
The video is available from the Emerald Village Newsagency for $10 or email the RSL and we will mail one to you for $13.

The Video Launch
The video was launched on July 1st 2017 at the Gemco Playhouse in Emerald to a packed audience of locals who helped build the Walk and those who were involved in the Opening Ceremony. Also invited were descendants of the 32 me who died in WW1.

The video was produced by 2 locals - Christine Weller and Matt Francis and funded by the Shire of Cardinia. The documentary told the story of how the RSL planned to replace Heroes Avenue as part of the Centenary of Anzac Day program. It took 18 months to build with input from many locals and the Shire of Cardinia.

The program for the night, apart from the showing of the video, was the guest appearance of notable singer song writer, Eric Bogle whose song "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" was a feature of the evening.
What a performer - Eric had the audience spellbound with his story telling before each of his songs. It was a wonderful concert from a wonderful entertainer.
